When searching for a prescription drug with an insurance carrier, if you see that the medication is Non-Formulary, that means the medication is NOT covered by the carrier.
Some drug looks up will bring the name of the medication up and under its Teir say NF or Non-Formulary.
In other instances, the medication will not show up under the drug search at all. Either way, the medication is NOT covered by the insurance plan.
- Note - If a medication is not covered by a carrier or plan, there are options available for discounts like GoodRX or Manufacture Discount Coupons.
